A pesar de las muchas dificultades a las que se enfrenta el ámbito de la cultura en este presente convulso, hemos apostado por seguir activos. Este año, los días 29, 30 y 31 de octubre celebraremos el preámbulo de la primera edición del DOC DOC: Literatura y Cine Documental, una cita que propone abrir un diálogo entre la literatura y el cine documental y que continuará en el verano de 2021 con una programación más amplia y ambiciosa. Será en en el Centro Cultural La Malagueta, uno de los referentes culturales españoles y reunirá a escritores y periodistas para reflexionar y debatir sobre el lugar del escritor y su realidad a partir de algunos documentales literarios escogidos de producción española e internacional.
El modelo de programación de este primer encuentro combinará la alternancia de soportes: un documental seguido de un diálogo entre autores o artistas. Porque leer nos hace pensar mejor, preguntarnos, tomar mejor conciencia de nuestro tiempo. Queremos saber quiénes son las escritoras y escritores que con los que compartimos entusiasmos y asombros; y apoyados por el género documental, hacia dónde vamos y de dónde venimos.
Esta edición se celebrará en el Centro Cultural La Malagueta durante tres días, y consistirá en la proyección de documentales junto a mesas redondas que serán emitidas vía streaming. A partir de referentes iconoclastas como Umbral, Ursula K. Le Guin o Hunter S. Thompson abundaremos en la relación de la literatura con el periodismo desde la perspectiva de Manuel Jabois y Nuria Labari, en las dinámicas de escritura de autores como Juan José Millás y Antonio Orejudo, y en la conciencia de la literatura como altavoz y desafío del presente desde la perspectiva de Marta Sanz y Cristina Morales. Un interesante mapa de voces y propuestas que, a la vez, propone un desafío de ideas.

Despite the many difficulties facing the field of culture in this turbulent present, we have opted to remain active. This year, on October 29, 30 and 31, we will celebrate the preamble to the first edition of DOC DOC: Literature and Documentary Cinema, an appointment that proposes to open a dialogue between literature and documentary cinema and that will continue in the summer of 2021 with a broader and more ambitious program. It will be at the La Malagueta Cultural Center, one of the Spanish cultural references and will bring together writers and journalists to reflect and debate on the place of the writer and his reality from some selected literary documentaries of Spanish and international production.
The programming model of this first meeting will combine the alternation of supports: a documentary followed by a dialogue between authors or artists. Because reading makes us think better, ask ourselves, become better aware of our time. We want to know who are the writers and writers with whom we share enthusiasm and amazement; and supported by the documentary genre, where we are going and where we come from.

Thompson, we will abound in the relationship between literature and journalism from the perspective of Manuel Jabois and Nuria Labari, in the writing dynamics of authors such as Juan José Millás and Antonio Orejudo, and in the consciousness of literature as speaker and challenge of the present from the perspective of Marta Sanz and Cristina Morales. An interesting map of voices and proposals that, at the same time, proposes a challenge of ideas.
